After a brief introduction to the science of equine behaviour, this event will cover how equines communicate with a focus on body language.

An in-depth understanding of the subtle ways that horses communicate with each other and with humans is vital to develop the best relationship we can with them. After this event you will never look at horses on TV, in films, in training demonstrations or even in a field in the same way again as you will be able to recognise much more clearly what they are trying to tell us, and how much they are so often mis-interpreted or ignored.

Suzanne Rogers is an equine behaviourist, animal welfare consultant and educator. She also runs Learning About Animals – her aim is to tackle behavioural issues starting with prevention by providing up-to-date scientific education in an understandable way for pet owners and animal professionals. She regularly lectures in the field of animal behaviour and works with many animal welfare organisations both in the UK and in developing countries.
